About Restful Homes Group

 

The Restful Homes Group is a family run care home group that was established in 1991.  We are committed to providing the highest quality of person-centred care in luxurious and homely environments.  With the opening of our new care centres in Birmingham we now provide care for over 750 residents in our care homes and are currently constructing a further 3 care centres.  We aim to be the premier providers of quality care throughout the Midlands and South of England.

The aims and objectives of the Restful Homes Group are to provide the highest possible quality of person-centred care to each of our residents.  We offer flexible and responsive care that meets all the needs of our residents and not simply focus on their medical needs alone.  We provide this care in a secure, relaxed, spacious and homely environment in which the care, happiness and comfort of our residents is paramount.  Each of our residents is treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities in an open and caring environment.

Our staff are well trained, professional, kind and caring and will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all our residents within a calm and loving environment.  Staff are sensitive to the residents' ever changing needs.

These needs may be medical, therapeutic, cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social.  Our residents are strongly encouraged to participate in the development and updating of their individualised plan of care in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued.

 

We compile a detailed biography of each resident so that we can build our care around their individual needs, preferences and wishes whilst focussing on the abilities they have retained rather than the disabilities they have attained.  We never adopt a 'one size fits all' approach and will deliver care that is responsive rather than prescriptive.  We will provide a varied and comprehensive programme of activities that is tailored to the wishes and abilities of our residents.  We will continually monitor our service through consultation with residents and their relatives along with visiting professionals to ensure that we are meeting both our objectives and our residents' needs. 

 

Restful Homes Group have a very open approach to management and always appreciate comments and welcome any feedback from residents, visitors and staff.  As a family owned business there are no unnecessary layers of bureaucracy between the care of residents and this helps to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained.
