Clare Court Care Centre is a luxury purpose built home for older adults in Clinton Street, Winson Green that is due to open in July 2009. It is conveniently located within half a mile of City Hospital and only 2.5 miles from Birmingham City Centre. There are 79 large, fully furnished, light and airy bedrooms all equipped with profiling beds. All rooms have en-suite wet room style showers which are suitable for wheelchair access. Nurse call facilities are available in each bedroom and throughout the home should you require assistance. |
Each floor has three beautifully appointed lounges. The main lounge has air conditioning and patio doors leading to a large balcony area on the first floor and a patio area on the ground floor to enable you to enjoy warm, sunny days. Clare Court is situated on the banks of the canal and many rooms have direct views of the Birmingham Canal.
There will be a variety of seating in the lounges for you to choose from, and each area will have various entertainment facilities such as plasma televisions and music systems, as well as a quiet lounge where you can enjoy reading or socialising with your family and friends.
A spacious dining room is available on each floor where you can enjoy a fulfilling dining experience with fellow residents or even, family members . Of course, if you prefer, meals can be taken in a room of your choice.
Both of our hairdressing salons will have a small area for beauty therapy, where you will be able to get a hand massage or have your nails painted.
Wide corridors give a spacious and airy feel to the home, there are small seating areas along the way, where you can look out of the window or sit and enjoy your own company for awhile.
In our spacious reception area we have an air-conditioned cafe area for you to relax and socialise in. Patio doors lead out to a terraced area, where you can sit sipping a beverage of your choice.
Our outside space includes a sensory garden and paved areas with easy access for wheelchairs, so that you can enjoy a meander around a safe and secure area with family or friends. We are lucky to have the canal nearby, and the train line for any avid train spotters.
All residents will be assessed by either the Home Manager or a senior member of staff. You and your family are welcome to come to view the Home and there will be a choice of rooms available for you to look at. We will be very happy to show you around our beautiful Home so that you can see for yourselves the added extras and thought that has gone into its development.
We will be registered for Residential, Nursing and Dementia care so that should care needs change, your care can still be met within the same building.

Our care documentation is developed on a detailed biography, so that the most appropriate care is given. This follows the philosophy of Person Centred Care, meeting the needs, preferences and wishes of the individual. Residents, family and friends are encouraged to participate in the writing and reviewing of these plans. We never adopt a 'one size fits all' policy - every resident is treated as an individual. Activities and entertainment are tailored to the wishes and abilities of each resident. |
Communication plays a large part in our relationship with relatives, we are open and transparent, and always keep family informed of changes that may affect their loved ones. We are always open to suggestions or feedback from our customers to continue improving our service.
The shops are close to hand and there are full public transport links to enable easy access for residents and visitors.
